Pawnee National Grassland

• Pawnee National Grassland is a vast prairie located in northeastern Colorado, spanning over 193,000 acres. The landscape is characterized by rolling hills, grassy meadows, and colorful wildflowers, as well as unique rock formations, canyons, and sandstone cliffs. The grassland is home to a variety of wildlife, including pronghorns, coyotes, badgers, and prairie dogs. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, camping, and hunting. The Pawnee National Grassland is a peaceful and scenic place to experience the natural beauty of the Great Plains.

Pawnee Pioneer Trails Byway

• The Pawnee Pioneer Trails Byway is a scenic and historic route that offers a unique perspective on the rich cultural and natural heritage of northeastern Colorado.  Located just a few miles outside of Ault, the byway’s total distance is about 128 miles and can be completed in around 3 hours. The drive normally starts in Ault, then journeys through Briggsdale, Grover, Raymer, Fort Morgan, and ends in Sterling.

Fall Festival

• The Ault Fall Festival is an annual event that features a variety of activities for the whole family, including live music, food vendors, a parade, a carnival, and various games and contests. One of the highlights of the festival is the Ault Fall Festival Car Show, which showcases a wide variety of classic and vintage cars. Another popular event is the festival's pie baking contest, where participants can enter their best pies in a competition judged by local residents. Visitors can also explore the local farmers market and arts and crafts booths, which feature handmade items and local produce. Adam's Apple Orchard & Country Store
